Exclusive Interview with Kevin Lynch from Niner Insider

As a St. Louis Rams fan I find myself wanting to know what is going on around the rest of the NFC West during this exciting pre-draft time. We thought we would go out and get the thoughts of those in the know, so we contacted Kevin Lynch, football writer for the Niner Insider. We would like to thank Kevin for taking time out for this interview. We asked Kevin the following:

Stlvinnie: As of April 10th who do you think the San Francisco 49ers will select in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft?

Kevin Lynch: The team has shown a lot of interest in Quentin Groves. GM Scot McCloughan personally attended his pro-day workout and Groves visited last week. The team did pick up Justin Smith in free agency but lost two players Marques Douglas (Tampa) and Bryant Young (retirement).

Stlvinnie: As an expert who do you believe would be the best selection for the St. Louis Rams to make with the #2 overall selection in the 2008 NFL Draft?

Kevin Lynch: Glenn Dorsey makes sense for the Rams. It's so rare to find a defensive tackle who can also rush the passer. With him you get a great run stopper and pass rusher. Pressure up the middle can win games for you.

So Kevin believes what a lot of Rams fans are currently talking about and that is to pick up Dorsey and move Adam Carriker back to DE and strengthen two positions at one time. Will this be the move? We will find out in 11 days.

We would like to once again thank Kevin for his time and we hope to stay in contact with him for some Post-draft analysis.
